WORKLOAD OF OPERATING AUTOMATED DRIVING SYSTEMS

The project investigates cognitive and visual load of operating automated driving systems on Ontario roads. This is the first project of its kind at the University of Windsor.

COGNITIVE LOAD DETECTION

This project investigates using ubiquitous webcam feeds to measure cognitive load for the early detection of Zoom fatigue. This is to prevent the onset of Zoom fatigue during online videoconferencing. A similar approach is being developed to conduct virtual Cognitive Ergonomics assessments of Atlas Copco's manufacturing tools.

INAGO IN-VEHICLE PERSONAL ASSISTANT

iNAGO is a leading developer of in-vehicle personal assistants. Via this collaboration with Dr. Biondi and the Human Systems Lab, we will assess the user experience of key functions of iNAGO personal assistant MIA.

PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SIGNAL EXTRACTION FROM MINIMALLY INVASIVE SENSORS

This project measures heart rate and blood pressure estimations from photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors and human posture tracking based on inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors. Psychological state will also be measured through cognitive load estimation based on eye-tracking data.
